Congratulations to Logan McBride for placing 6th in the 113 weight class at Districts! 

Six of our Eastwood High School Wrestlers competed at D3 Divisional Districts on March 1 and 2, 2024. Logan McBride, 113lb weight class, placed 6th for Eastwood.

NBC 2024 Championship Results

FEB 17, 2024: The Eastwood High School wrestlers placed 3rd as a team at the NBC High School League Championship. Top placers for Eastwood were as follows: 106 Gabriel Brough 2nd place; 113 Logan McBride 3rd place; 138 Gavin Shropshire 2nd place; 150 Caiden Maize 2nd place; 157 Austin Maize 3rd place; 165 Connor Norton 4th place; 175 Logan Perry 3rd place; 285 Colton Oberhouse 2nd place.

Senior Spotlight

Austin Maize

Austin has been wrestling for 7 years. At first, he wasn't so sure about it but through the years he has really grown to enjoy the sport. His coaches are key to him. Austin has always had a desire to be disciplined and determined. He is an outstanding student, athlete, and very intelligent. He plans on being a master welder in the union trade after high school and to work and excel to his full potential at Dunbar Mechanical.


Caiden Maize

Caiden has been in wrestling since he was in Kindergarten and has always really enjoyed the sport. He especially enjoys having Coach Lashaway as his head coach during his senior year. His coach pushes him to be his best on and off the mat.  Caiden is an outstanding athlete and is a very kind, passionate, and determined person. Caiden plans on putting those skills to use in college as he plans to attend Owens and The University of Toledo for Nursing. Caiden wants to be a traveling nurse.

Eastwood Senior and Alumni Night

It was a perfect night to enjoy some good competition and celebrate the wrestling program and culture we have at Eastwood. Past Eastwood Alumni came back to enjoy the matches from a special table of honor. Staff and teachers were invited to receive Impact awards. Santa and the Grinch even made an appearance! A special night full of laughter, tears, and wrestling!
